Lesley is an art director and senior graphic designer living in sunny Cleveland, Ohio. Her work has primarily been featured in Ohio Magazine, one of Ohio’s largest monthly magazines, in addition to Long Weekends magazine, Cleveland Magazine, Inside Business magazine and many smaller custom publications. She completed the redesign of in 2016, which won 2nd place at the 2017 All Ohio Excellence in Journalism Awards, presented. Lesley’s work has earned several other awards, most notably Best Designer in Ohio in 2016 from the Press Club of Cleveland, in addition to a similar award in 2012 from the Ohio Society for Professional Journalists. Ohio Magazine has also won Best Magazine in Ohio awards from both the Press Club of Cleveland and the Ohio SPJ in 2011, 2013 and 2015.

Never the one to shy away from a challenge, Lesley accepted a job at Medical Mutual, the oldest and largest health insurer in Ohio, as a senior graphic designer to expand her design skillset and portfolio. Her day to day projects ranged from billboards to program ads, multi-page brochures to postcards. Lesley was also put in charge of the redesign of the Medical Mutual’s Community Report, a 64-page annual report highlighting the charitable donations of the company throughout the state of Ohio.

Currently, Lesley is the senior graphic designer at Cohen & Company, the 5th fastest growing accounting firm in the country. She was hired to manage and expand the firm’s brand identity, as it relates to prospective client materials, advertising, sell sheets and brochures, social and digital marketing, event materials, plus internal communications and more. Her work has directly impacted the procurement of new business for the firm and an increase in the firm’s brand recognition, specifically in the Michigan market.

Lesley’s experience as an art director and graphic designer has taught her that design, in essence, is about solving problems and finding the best way to visually communicate an idea, message or story. In her spare time, she can be found hiking the trails in the Cleveland Metroparks, trying desperately to keep her cat under the twenty-pound mark, binge-watching any and all crime dramas on Netflix and perusing the clearance bins at her local Target.
